At the top of the Sacro Monte is the Conventino, a former 17th-century monastery and private home since 1860, offering stunning views of San Giulio Island to the west and the lake to the south.
The house boasts a rich and diverse history, from its beginnings as a Capuchin convent, with square columns in the cloister and frescoes recalling obedience and silence, to the arrival of Napoleon I, when it became private property in 1810. After a brief period on loan to an order of Franciscan friars, the family used this property as a home until World War II, when it also served as a school and the headquarters of Alfa Romeo, evacuated from Milan.

The Conventino is located in approximately 8,000 square meters of park and garden, with a covered area of approximately 2,760 square meters, of which approximately 2,050 square meters is intended for residential use.
The property comprises a master apartment and seven other apartments surrounding a central cloister.
In spring, the garden, with its azaleas, camellias, and hydrangeas, has a microclimate that also favors palms and magnolias. The private park is rich in decorative woods and trees, as well as an orchard
